Description
Artist Musingly
Some of the titles of my sculptures create new dimensions where the essence of the artwork dwells indefinitely. The words ‘lost crown’ came through the void as a title for this piece, with a triple meaning:
1. crown as healthy m i n d //
2. crown as social s t a t u s //
3. crown as intangible t r u s t //
Losing any of the above mentioned similes shakes up our fragile realities, at times leaving irreparable remnants. Strangely enough in rare cases losing one of them may also cause a loss of the other two. And how do you react when you are witnessing a fellow human with a ‘lost crown’ ? Although, at a glance it may not
be visible, hence the title. What about being that person ? Either way, it’s a traumatic experience, and as human beings we either go through them or witness the process of another. Had the ‘opportunity’ to witness them all, in varied degrees, as an observer and as an experiencer.
