Exhibition of the works by Gülnar Babayeva created with the support of the NYSCA Individual Artist Grant ~ Queen of Rogues, Glenford, NY, USA

November 16 – December 14 2024

Figurative Sculpture Renaissance is a mission based project focused on inspiring a new interest in figurative sculpting, and intends to bring visibility & equal representation of figurative sculpture/sculptors in local & open to public art venues. Babayeva’s project proposal won 2022 NYSCA Individual Artist Grant provided by the New York State Counsel on the Arts, and was sponsored by a local arts non-profit Arts Society of Kingston, NY.

GÜLNAR BABAYEVA is a figurative sculptor & designer at @caspianmuse, based in the Hudson Valley, NY. Babayeva has been sculpting the human form since 2012, and started her explorations in ceramic vessel design in 2020. Babayeva’s multidisciplinary nature as a creative explores the versatility of her chosen medium from the perspectives of designer and sculptor identities interchangeably. Gülnar Babayeva brings representation as a sculptor and designer to the local arts communities with her active participation as an exhibiting artist, volunteer, board director, instructor and curator.

GÜLNAR BABAYEVA SCULPTURE have been actively exhibited at local galleries in solo, duo and group exhibitions, and acquired for private collections. Babayeva was awarded the 2022 NYSCA Individual Artist Grant by the New York State Council on the Arts to pursue her artistic vision & mission of cultivating figurative sculpture locally. Additionally, Babayeva is an associate member of the National Sculpture Society. Babayeva offers figurative sculpture & ceramic vessel workshops, creative services & consulting,  collaboration opportunities in mental wellness, and sculpture commissions as Caspian Müse Studio.
