Attuning represents the feminine power, suppressed throughout history; the Goddess within that is finally awakened and recalibrating to her center and to her environment; the moment of solitude in the body and connection with the ethereal.
Attuning is part of my Revival series. I bring these pieces back to life from the realm of forsaken, in a sense healing them in the process, which builds up my sense of self-reliance and (self)healing potential. This sculpture carries a myriad of unspoken truths. Viewers are encouraged to attune themselves to her presence, to experience the stories she holds. I believe due to multitudes of backgrounds, different stories revealed or nothing at all.
