Artist Musingly
The last uncanny piece finished for Revival series is based on my observations & experiences of oppressive formative beliefs; i.e. models and concepts of reality we are indoctrinated the moment our eyes see the light of this world, independent of our geography.
Fears, hopes, traditions, rituals, enemies, friends, societal norms, expectations and everything else, one by one is being passed on with a good conscience to the next in line, largely at the expense of abandoned self, which regretfully we are not aware for quite a long time.
If one is ‘lucky’, a day arrives where the incomprehensible happens, and the person’s fragile world is in crumbles. It might also happen in successive variations, until we acknowledge destructive patterns.
Everything we knew becomes a surreal storyline, a made up narrative of unknown origins that never meant to benefit one’s well-being; where a person’s choices are predetermined & their reluctant sacrifice sustains a system which does not value their essence nor their presence.
One starts to question the nature of reality. A quest for clarity becomes a crucial next step, because the understanding of what and who one was, and everything familiar appears to be only a narrow bandwidth of possible alternatives.
This moment is shocking, traumatizing, life altering and it can unfold into a constructive or destructive path. When we lose coherence and connection with our own reality so called ‘normality’ seems strange, repulsive, draining & simply wrong.
After the initial shock, one finds themselves in a limbo of unknowns, a place where they are left to face fears, discomfort, unfathomable pain and recurring grief, often alone.
And one day, out of the blue, something elusive starts calling from within. We must be in silence to hear it. It creates a thirst for a new perspective, where hope emerges; a small whisper starts guiding us to a new realm. At this point, we better gather the strength and dare to start over by following clues which eventually lead towards true-self and its effortless freedom. Keep going.
At whatever point we might find ourselves aware, the main thing is to remember our presence – however small it might feel – leaves ripples on this reality. For that reason, we must make time to reconstruct and heal, so our newly found relief proceeds to update the pernicious patterns in the fabric of our collective consciousness.
My hope for all of us is to find the strength to go as far as possible, from where our true-self patiently beckons us over. Refuse to dial down the wildness of your essence, and do not succumb to negatives of the past, present, or imagined future as it’s our default loop. Move beyond the generic script, create your own narrative, and understand the possibilities of your distinctive design. All of this is easier said than done, nevertheless it is possible with time & intention. Take it easy.
