Workshop Experience

This session is led by figurative sculptor & designer Gülnar Babayeva @caspianmuse gulnarbabayeva.com 

Private sessions are designed for those who are interested in learning new artistic skills, such as sculpting but can’t seem to fit it into their schedules; OR for couples who prefer to celebrate special occasions with learning new skills together, for family members and for those who choose to sculpt at a schedule that fits their lifestyle. Can be purchased as a gift for a friend or loved one.

Private Sculpture Sessions is introductory by nature and open for beginner and intermediate levels. Student will learn how to sculpt a human form through observation by using reference materials like 3D models, plaster models, images and artistic anatomy visuals. You will be introduced to the tools and foundational techniques to start your sculpting journey. You will have the option to choose what you prefer to learn first with the help of your instructor.

This beginner friendly experience consists of 4 sessions, and happen on a schedule priorly arranged between the instructor and student for 150min/2.5 hours each session. During this time student explores clay as a playable material and its possibilities in sculpture. We aim to tap into student’s natural abilities & talents. The goal is to learn new skills, and practice them, while improving your observational abilities over time. Lastly, students are encouraged to explore imaginative solutions for modeling the human form, besides referencing academic materials. Students are welcome to initiate their own sculpture projects and will be guided through their process. 

A completed sculpture can be up to 15 inches tall, will be fired and available for pick-up 4-6 weeks post-workshop to allow slow drying and firing.

Participants of all levels are welcome, and each will be given individual attention to guide them through their sculpture journey.

Community tools are available in the studio. You are welcome to bring your own tools.
