Have you ever been categorized as ‘the other’ or were the one doing it ? If you are not aware of it, what a bliss; otherwise perhaps it’s time to check in with yourself. Categorization of ‘the other’ happens all the time, consciously or not. I have noticed it occurring in many groups I was part of, where usually I am/was ‘The Other’ that never quite fits in, even in groups that claim to be inclusive in their words, yet oblivious of their own hypocritical actions. It manifests into reality by disregarding the needs or downplaying the responsibility when it’s not aligned with the patterns of a group’s or individual’s ego; consequently, denying resources, voice or visibility that’s necessary for growth & expansion of every human being.
