Artist’s Vision Statement & Context
Revival of figurative sculpting is the vision behind the project Figurative Sculpture Renaissance. My mission-project is inspired by the lack of resources and representation of figurative sculpting/sculptors locally.

The theme of my art revolves around the human figure and it’s fragments with underlying storylines that capture human emotions and feelings. Currently, my sculptures’ distinct features are realistic/semi-realistic expressive style with the focus on human forms and surface applications/finishes held together within imaginary dimensions by their varying narratives.

My proposed project continues in the same thematic/stylistic lines described above using observational sculpting from live models, related research, memories, & imagination. Additionally, I plan to incorporate experimentation with new materials, change in scale, surface finishes, and inner dialogues.

The Figurative Sculpture Renaissance Project has the potential to bridge the existing gap in the advancement & representation of figurative art in Hudson Valley communities.

Let the Figurative Sculpture Renaissance begin!
