Description

How It Felt by Gülnar Babayeva
Artist Musingly
Female figure wading into deep waters. A symbolic piece of how entanglements of day to day livelihood are draining the will to continue living fully embodied lives.. responsibilities, dysfunctional relationships, sufferings due to broken promises and expectations. Her braids are cut unnaturally to symbolize unfulfilled dreams and lost hope; her expression displays utter sadness and grief, a relatable condition. Fractured lines throughout the body express decay of the personality, inevitable loss of the self. Sculpted from observation of a live model, completed with patina finish application in 2020. Unique sculpture with metallic patina application. Not For Sale.
